Can I use the Online Store if I’m not studying at South Devon College? 


Yes, you certainly can. The store can be browsed by anyone. 


Is it possible to just browse the store without registration? 


Yes, certainly. 


Do I have to register in order to make a purchase? 


Yes, you will need to register to make purchase. 


Registration is a straightforward process using your email address and a password of your choosing. Once registered you can revisit and make purchases using your registered account. 


As part of the registration process you must enter personal details such as your address and contact details. It is your responsibility to make sure these are correct and subsequently updated when necessary.


South Devon College reserves the right to suspend or cancel a registration entirely at it's own discretion. 


Do not disclose your login details to others. You are responsible for all orders made using your password. 


What if I can’t remember my password? 


On the login screen you will see a forgotten password option; when you click this you will be taken to a screen that will ask you to specify the email address associated with your account. password reset email will then be sent to you. 


What do you do with my card details? 


All payment details which are entered through this payment gateway are encrypted.


Is the site secure?


Authentic sites use SSL web server certification to offer secure communications by encrypting all data to and from the site. By clicking on the padlock icon, you will get real time confirmation of the validity of the certificate and be able to view the site SSL Certificate, confirming the site’s validity. 


The pages in which you enter personal details or payment information are secured using SSL (Secure Socket Layer) technology. 


You should also check that the website address in which you enter your card details starts with https and that there is a padlock image on your screen. 

Both are required to help ensure your data is secure. 


If I buy, how will I get confirmation of my order? 


When you purchase goods or services from our Online Store, you will receive confirmation by e-mail to the address you gave in your registration, showing what items you have ordered and paid for.


How long will I have to wait for my goods? 


Some of the services available from the Online Store may involve delivery and some of the goods are sold on the basis that they are collected from college locations. The email confirmation of your purchase will explain exactly how these should be collected.


Is there a limit to what I can buy from the store? 


Limitations only extend to the availability of stock or services offered. In certain cases there may be limits per customer. 


When I’m buying, can I change my mind as I go? 


You certainly can, you can keep building your shopping basket, adding and deleting as you go, but once you submit from the payment details screen, your order will be fulfilled. 


What can I do if I have made a mistake, but have completed the transaction? 


You can either use the contact address provided on the product/course you have purchased or the Online Store. You can email [email protected] or call 01803 540 723. 


Will the system automatically log me out of the site? 


No. You will need to logout manually. 


What cards are accepted? 


Payment for all products must be by credit or debit card. Please note that the College Online Store only accepts payment from the following: Visa Debit, Visa Electron, Maestro, Mastercard, Mastercard Debit, Visa Purchasing, Visa and VPay.
